Memorable Storytelling

Founded in 2024 by cinematographer-producer Paul Cannon and writer-director Kingston Trinder, New Pavilion's memorable factual storytelling explores outlier experiences, investigates unorthodox biographies, and examines radical protagonists.


Paul Cannon

Paul Cannon is a filmmaker whose documentary work includes Netflix’s Emmy award-winning Wild Wild Country. Cannon’s work has screened at festivals worldwide, including Sundance and SXSW, and he has been nominated for a number of cinematography awards, including an American Society of Cinematographers Heritage Award.

KINGSTON TRINDER

Kingston Trinder is an awarded nonfiction author. Trinder’s books include a novel, Milk Tooth (2012), two true-crime biographies (2025). And numerous contributions to journals, fine art monographs, and visual ethnographies: Old Glory (2016), Chromatic Reflection (2016), An Atlas of Rare & Familiar Colour (2017), Who is Michael Jang? (2019), John Cage: A Mycological Foray (2020), Talk Soon (2021) and Thor Heyerdahl: Voyages of the Sun (2022). Journey of the Red Knots, his first children's book, illustrated by Espen Friberg, will be published in spring 2025. Trinder is a member of the National Press Club and an eager amateur sailor.
